Distribution Operator

A local manufacturer is seeking Distribution Operators for its Niagara facility. The successful candidates will perform various warehouse duties, including unloading for truck and rail car operations, as well as shipping and receiving duties throughout the plant.

Education

• MANDATORY: 2-YEAR COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY DEGREE, PREFERABLY IN (STEM) SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, OR MATH.
• Plant/manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of this position, including outdoor work.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility and adhering to safety procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English, with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including wearing personal protective equipment such as respirators and responding to visual and audible alarms.
