Role Overview :

As an Optical Engineer, your role will be crucial in supporting the design, integration, and testing of state-of-the-art optical systems. This position will involve hands-on tasks such as assembling, calibrating, and inspecting optical components, directly impacting the product development process. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and grow in a collaborative environment. While having a background in electronics is useful, the main focus of this position will be on optical systems and how they integrate with larger systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Prototype & system build

– assemble sub-assemblies, integrate full camera systems, characterize performance, and troubleshoot issues.

– design / implement test rigs and procedures, benchmark performance models, collect / analyze data, and present findings.

– confirm mechanical integrity, optical alignment, and overall performance against specifications.

– partner with Manufacturing / NPI engineers to optimize build and test processes for subsystems and full systems.

– manage orders, maintain lab / office safety, coordinate instrument shipping, and travel domestically or internationally as needed.

– deliver weekly progress summaries, support clinical testing, and interface with customers.
