Contract Term : 6 – 12 months, renewable
Location : Hybrid : 3 Days Remote / 2 Days In‑office (Vaughan, Ontario)

This senior role designs and owns integration solutions that connect these systems – enabling efficient operations, faster outage response, trusted data, and regulatory confidence.
What You’ll Be Doing
🔌 Lead Distribution‑Focused API & Integration Design
- Design, develop, and own enterprise‑grade RESTful APIs supporting LDC operational needs
- Integrate systems supporting :
- Distribution asset management & maintenance
- GIS network models (feeders, circuits, connectivity)
- Outage Management Systems (OMS)
- Field service & mobile workforce tools
- Establish integration standards for a 24 / 7 customer‑impacting environment
- Ensure security, resiliency, and performance of integrations
📊 Architect & Build Data Pipelines
Design and implement pipelines for operational, analytical, and regulatory use casesSupport ingestion of data from :Asset & work management systemsGIS & network modelsOutage & restoration eventsSmart meters / AMI & telemetryImplement data quality controls, monitoring, and reconciliationEnable analytics, reliability reporting, and asset performance insights🏗️ Enable Asset, Outage & Field Operations
Support integration of :Distribution assets (poles, wires, transformers, substations)Work orders, inspections, and crew activitiesCustomer‑impacting outage events & restoration timelinesAlign asset systems of record with GIS network representationsReduce manual workarounds and improve trust in operational data🧑💼 Provide Senior Technical Leadership
Act as a technical authority for integration & API designLead solution design discussions with internal teams and vendorsMentor intermediate engineers and review integration designsTranslate operational & regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutionsWhat We’re Looking For
🛠️ Senior Technical Experience
8+ years in system integration, API development, and data engineeringProven experience supporting production integrations in operational environmentsStrong expertise in :RESTful APIs & enterprise integration patternsData pipelines (batch & streaming)SQL & scripting (Python preferred)Hybrid or cloud‑enabled environments⚡ LDC / Utilities Experience (Preferred)
Experience within an Ontario LDC or similar electricity distribution environmentFamiliarity integrating :Asset & Work Management (SAP, Maximo, etc.)GIS platforms (ESRI ArcGIS)OMS, AMI, or field service systemsUnderstanding of IT / OT integration challenges and regulated utility operations🤝 Professional & Collaboration Skills
Strong systems thinking and ownership mindsetAbility to engage with operations, engineering, IT, and business stakeholdersClear documentation & communication skillsComfortable in complex, risk‑aware environments🌐 Nice to Have
