Helicopters Without Borders mission is to increase access to essential health and wellness services for the most marginalized and isolated communities in BC through carbon neutral aviation . By delivering care directly to communities with limited or no road access HWB removes geographic barriers to healthcare and creates lasting trust based relationships with the communities it serves.
What makes HWB truly unique is its operating model. It is the only organization in Canada focused exclusively on delivering healthcare directly to community doorsteps using aviation as the delivery modality. HWB operates with an entrepreneurial empathetic and highly autonomous culture where trust accountability and cultural humility are central to everything they do.
About the Role
The Community Coordinator is a newly created high impact role that will serve as the primary in community point of contact during HWB flight programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring clinics run smoothly communities feel supported and healthcare providers can focus on patient care.
The Community Coordinator will spend significant time in the field and will also contribute to planning systems building and logistics between flight weeks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments enjoys frontline community engagement and is comfortable making decisions independently in complex situations.
Salary : $60000-$70000 / Per annum
