Our client is an international banking and financial institution with divisions located in the Americas, Europe, Asia,and the Middle East.

They are establishing their first Canadian office and are expecting exponential growth.

This position allows you to join in the early days of the creation of an internal service company for multiple business lines.

This service company is rendering services to USA and European group members. You will contribute to developing, monitoring and adapting financial reporting, KPIs and procedures for an efficient management of the platform.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for the Canadian service company financial accounting
• Ensuring that the service company complies with the Group’s policies and Canadian tax regulation
• Liaise with our Canadian and NY colleagues and our external and internal auditors
• Participate to the preparation of the annual budget
• Ensure accuracy of the General Ledger
• Be a business partner to the senior management
• Monitor management results and service agreements
• Monitor Management results vs the budget
• Prepare and produce all Canadian financial reporting and ensure proper quality assurance of general ledger
• Provide accounting analysis in accordance with Canadian rules
• Prepare and manage income and VAT tax forms including examination and oversight of any tax analysis for corporate income tax, VAT and transfer pricing agreement
• Participate to the preparation of the annual budget
• Maintain proper documentation and description of processes under his responsibility

Qualifications :

• Certified Professional Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of appropriate experience
• Flexible and a self-starter, able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented
• Organization skills as well as communication
• Knowledge of Canadian corporate tax, VAT tax and Québec International financial tax credit (an advantage)
• Knowledge of Canadian IFRS GAAP for public company
• Strong computer skills
• Bilingual French-English
