Job Description
The Electrical Technician / Technologist will prepare engineering drawings for various electrification projects. The mentoring and resources made available to you will enable you to develop a strong understanding of electrical design of renewable generation, EV charging stations and low / medium voltage distribution . We offer a flexible hybrid work model, enabling you to work from home and from one of our offices.

Primary Responsibilities
- Produce detailed CAD drawings for the electrical design, including Single Line Diagrams, electrical details, wiring diagrams, underground cable details, site layouts for EV charging stations, and other projects as required
- Coordinate with other discipline engineers, designers, and CAD staff as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Complete electrical calculations, cable schedules, demand load calculations, etc.
- Carry out site assessments and surveys, to determine project feasibility
- Prepare site assessment reports, cost estimates, material take-offs
- Submit applications for Utility, ESA, and City permits if required
- Receive and file drawings and documents in the appropriate CIMA+ standard file folder structure.
Qualifications
Electrical Engineering Technician or Technologist DiplomaA minimum of Five (5) years of related experienceStrong communication and written skillsProficient in the use of AutoCAD (SLDs, wiring schematics, elevations, layouts etc.)Ability to work independently and as part of the teamExperienced in electrical designWillingness to travel occasionallyStrong organizational skills to plan, organize and implement work within a specified budget while meeting the project deadlinesIn addition to financial compensation, CIMA+ offers :
