Building foundations installing floor beams laying sub-flooring and installing walls and roofing of cabinets shelves drywall and insulation. Adding fittings and fixtures including door handles hinges locks and closures. Install fittings and fixtures including door handles hinges locks and closuresMeasure cut assemble and join wood and wood-substitute materialsSelect appropriate lumber and materials that meet design quality and budget requirementsPerform repairs renovations and finishing work on existing structuresRead and interpret blueprints drawings and sketchesQuality Control & FinishingStandard: Ensure all carpentry work meets established quality standards design specifications and finishing requirements across all project all work meets high-quality craftsmanship standards and project specificationsPerform final checks on carpentry work prior to inspections or project close-outMaintain consistency in finishes across hotel rooms common areas and public spacesCoordination & CommunicationStandard: Effectively coordinate with site personnel and trades to support efficient workflows clear communication and on-schedule project carpentry activities with other trades to avoid delays or reworkCommunicate progress constraints and material needs to the Site Supervisor or Project ManagerWork professionally in active hotel environments with guests staff and management presentHealth & Safety and General Duties Standard: Maintain a safe organized and compliant work a clean and orderly job siteFollow all health and safety policies procedures and regulationsReport near misses incidents and accidents promptlySupport other site activities and projects as requiredRequirementsMinimum 5 years of professional carpentry experience in commercial or hospitality environmentsVehicle license (an asset)Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment on active job sitesHigh level of craftsmanship creativity and attention to detailProficient in the use of hand tools and power toolsSolid understanding of building codes regulations and construction best practicesAbility to read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications with minimal supervisionBasecamp Resorts is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to building a workplace that values diversity and ensures equal opportunities for all.
