Job Title : Server Analyst / Data Center Facilities Coordinator (Intermediate)

Contract Duration : 6+ Months

Location : Calgary, AB

Work Type : Hybrid, expected to work from the office 2 times per Month. Monday - Friday 8 : 15 – 16 : 30

Scope :

  • The Data Center Facilities Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operational management and coordination of technology-related services within the core Data Centres, Correctional Facilities, and remote sites.
  • Server Analyst role ensures the efficient and secure operation of IT infrastructures, manages a team providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization services, and ensures alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and oversee technology services related to Data Centres, Correctional Facilities, and remote sites.
  • Implement and coordinate all IT facility services including WiFi management, equipment changes, and network optimization.
  • Maintain and manage rack, power, cooling systems, and network closet infrastructures to ensure maximum efficiency and performance.
  • Develop and implement disaster preparedness and regulatory compliance plans.
  • Lead and supervise teams in asset management, procurement, and documentation processes.
  • Server Analyst provides consultation and troubleshooting support to clients and internal teams.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to ensure seamless service and updates on operational status.
  • Proven experience in managing IT facility services, data centers, or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of network optimization, power management, environmental control, and rack systems.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage cross-functional projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Understanding of disaster preparedness, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications in IT management, infrastructure, or related fields are an asset.

    • Equipment Requirements :

  • Our client will supply a laptop

    • Working Hours :

  • Standard Hours of work are 08 : 15 – 16 : 30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province
  • Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues.
  • The role will be remote however in the event of an onsite meeting, does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing / accommodation, food / drink.

    • Notes on Location :

  • This resource will primarily work remotely; however, the resource may be required to attend meetings or work sessions in the office on reasonable notice from the Province.
  • At the time of providing such notice, the Province will advise of the expected duration of any such meetings or work sessions. However, time to travel and any associated expenses to and from Edmonton and / or travel within Alberta will be at no cost to the Province.
  • The expectation will be for the resource to work from the office 2 times per Month
