Role Description
We are seeking Assistant Restaurant Manager for a full-time, on-site role located in Port Dover and Simcoe, ON. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless customer service and high operational standards.
Responsibilities include managing food and beverage service, supervising staff, maintaining customer satisfaction, and hiring and training team members. Additional duties involve leading team meetings, managing schedules, and ensuring a positive dining experience for customers through adherence to brand standards and values.
Qualifications
- Fast food service experience required; Tim Hortons managerial experience preferred.
- Assist to manage, coach, and hold team members accountable in compliance with Canadian and Ontario employment and labour laws
- Ensure all required training is completed successfully (online and in-person)
- Support to maintain required certifications, including First Aid, SafeCheck® / ServSafe®, and Tim Hortons OMAP programs
- Achieve performance targets set by the Restaurant Owners, including but not limited to :
o Quarterly REV audits
o Labour cost control within target range
o Waste reduction and inventory management
o Speed of Service, Restaurant Operations, and Customer Service standards
o Global Performance Score and Senior Leader Bonus program objectives
Ensure full compliance with all policies and procedures outlined in the Restaurant Policy HandbookSet and communicate a clear vision and mission while providing the team with the tools and support needed to succeedDeliver exceptional food and beverage quality while maximizing guest satisfaction and salesEnsure all products are prepared in accordance with Tim Hortons standards, recipes, and equipment operating guidelinesPlan, schedule, organize, and manage shifts efficiently to meet business needsEvaluate employee performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve productivity and engagementEnsure compliance with all sanitation, food safety, and health & safety regulationsHandle guest concerns and complaints promptly, professionally, and accuratelyAssist to recruit, onboard, train, coach, and discipline a diverse team to maintain Tim Hortons’ high operational standardsMonitor and control operational costs while identifying opportunities to reduce wasteContribute to enhance the restaurant’s positive image and reputationPromote the brand within the local community through events, initiatives, and word-of-mouth engagementRecommend and support marketing initiatives such as promotions, discounts, and social media advertisingTrain new and existing team members on proper guest service standards and proceduresFoster a respectful, inclusive, and positive work environment through open communication and strong leadershipOversee inventory receiving, ordering, audits, and controls to meet or exceed Tim Hortons metricsBe fully trained in all restaurant positions (front-of-house and back-of-house) to provide coverage and operational support as neededWork flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredLead by example in a fast-paced environment, supporting guest service and order taking when necessaryEnsure all cash handling procedures are followed, including accurate counting, auditing, and reconciliation of tills, floats, and daily depositsPerform additional duties as required to support restaurant operations
