Job Summary
The Team
The Resources, Recruitment, and Retention Team is a vibrant group enhancing caregiver support across North Vancouver, Squamish, Pemberton, Sechelt, Gibsons, and Powell River. Our 10 Resource Workers focus on recruiting and retaining caregivers in the Vancouver Coastal Service Delivery Area. This newly formed team unites strengths from previous groups, fostering collaboration and mutual support. You'll partner with Child Protection Workers, Guardianship and Adoption Specialists, foster support staff, and agency providers in an inclusive, welcoming environment. The Role
The Resource & Out of Care Worker is located with the local MCFD integrated team and works to ensure caregivers provide quality care for children and youth. Key duties include recruiting new caregivers, assessing out of care caregivers, monitoring and supporting caregivers, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure children's safety and well-being. You'll lead information sessions for potential caregivers, which may involve evenings and weekends, and complete SAFE home studies. This position offers the opportunity to support caregivers of vulnerable children and youth which may include some opportunity to travel across the scenic Vancouver Coastal SDA

Human Services fields include : Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Anthropology, Early Childhood Education, Indigenous Studies, Education, Theology or Nursing.

About this Position :
AMENDMENT March 3, 2025 : CLOSING DATE EXTENDED TO MARCH 19, 2025.

This position may require occasional weekend and evening work, and the capacity to travel to support other communities in the Service Delivery Area.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
