About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will oversee the full cycle of accounts receivable. This role requires strong problem‑solving skills and initiative to resolve issues quickly, especially when working with large customers such as Walmart, Loblaws, and Costco. Key responsibilities include processing payments, monitoring accounts, following up on deductions or delays, and ensuring accurate commission calculations. Success in this position depends on attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to follow through with clients to maintain smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send invoices to customers
• Process and post payments to customer accounts
• Follow-up with customers on payment deductions
• Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and follow-up for collection

Education & Experience

• DEC in Accounting, bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
• ERP experience is required. SAP Business One Solution is an asset.
• EDI experience is an asset.
• 5+ years of proven accounts receivable experience.
• Experience dealing with large customers like Walmart, Loblaws, Costco, Dollar stores is an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently to complete responsibilities and tasks for role.
• Math aptitude required for calculating balances, discounts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail, show good judgment.
