ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Projects Manager Information Technology Services this role oversees and advances the Regions Software Asset & License Management capabilities in alignment with ITIL v4 and IAITAM best practices. Key responsibilities include managing enterprise software agreements (e.g. Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Adobe) centralizing license management and improving processes.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Analyses user requirements and department technology needs generating alternative approaches to information systems design.
Provides cost-effective solutions to meet both departmental and provincial objectives through the application of information technologies.
Prepares system prototypes for user consultation and contributes to the design development testing modification documentation and implementation of systems.
Identifies issues and consults with key partners to develop select and implement the most appropriate solutions.
Recommends and implements future systems to enhance departmental productivity.
Reviews and evaluates the outcomes of program and systems testing in collaboration with team members and end-users.
Provides timely responses to departmental as hoc requests.
Cultivates strong working relationships with key staff members in supported departments.
Contributes to project planning and control by estimating and planning specific tasks providing direction guidance and technical support to staff assigning tasks with reasonable deadlines and ensuring adherence to schedules.
Co-ordinates assigned systems development and implementation activities including the preparation of user requirement definitions systems analysis general and detailed design documents to development prototyping and implementation
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in Information Technology Computer Systems Technology or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum five (5) years experience in information systems project implementation and support.
Experience in assessing application technology and end user needs and recommending solutions.
Knowledge of the application development cycle.
Knowledge of trends in the use of current information technology.
Project management presentation problem solving and team leadership skills.
Ability to aid in the design configuration and implementation of business transaction processes.
Ability to demonstrate the Regions core competencies.
