This Position reports to :
Business controller
As an Accounting Intern, you will be part of the Finance / Accounting team and will share responsibility with colleagues for general, financial, and manufacturing accounting for the Iberville and St‑Jean‑sur‑Richelieu business units. The position will be primarily on‑site.
Your Responsibilities
Contribute to maintaining the asset register.
Perform physical counts of manufacturing assets (equipment, tools, machines).
Verify the existence and location of assets on the production floor.
Document asset additions, removals, disposals, and transfers.
Update information in the ERP system.
Support reconciliation between physical assets and accounting data.
Assist with analyses related to inventory activities and other operational expenses for the business unit.
Actively participate in month‑end accounting processes, including account analysis, account reconciliations, journal entry creation, inventory analysis, and balance reconciliations.
Perform various related tasks as required.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA designation or in progress.
Three to five years of experience in an accounting or financial analysis role.
Strong analytical thinking, ability to connect different parts of a problem, collaborate effectively, and show initiative.
Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
Experience with Microsoft Office, with intermediate / advanced Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset; French is required.
