Your future role on our team
Your role as an engineer will be to help with proposals, engineering execution and in-plant and onsite project implementation, primarily in, but not limited to, the biofuels sector.

- Establish and maintain relationships with clients to define their needs
- Lead and participate in project design studies
- Lead and participate in designing plans, details and specifications
- Perform sizing calculations for pressurized piping equipment
- Supervise and perform design calculations and ensure that plans meet guidelines as well as code requirements and other regulations
- Prepare material lists and bills of materials in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other established procedures while applying BBA’s quality system requirements
- Present technical information, concepts or study results
- Verify and produce request for proposal (RFP) files, specifications and other technical equipment documents
- Allocate tasks to junior engineers, technicians and drafters assigned to projects, review their work and assess the technical scope of projects
- Ensure work complies with established schedules, estimates, procedures and budgets
- Perform technical information statements
- Occasionally oversee contractors on site

University degree in mechanical engineering and a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du QuébecAt least seven years of relevant experienceKnowledge of codes and standards applicable to the petrochemical industryKnowledge of pressure vessel, piping and API pump designKnowledge of metallurgy selectionExcellent knowledge of MSOffice Suite and other applications, databases and interfacesKnowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Navisworks applicationsAvailable for occasional travel for a few days across Canada and abroadAdvanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and / or clients outside Québec.
