Summary
The role of the Packaging Supervisor is to manage Packaging and Inventory Leads and Packaging and Inventory Support employees, overseeing all aspects of the packaging and inventory operations; maintaining daily workflow, and ensuring all quotas and goals are met. This role is responsible for developing and adhering to packaging processes and will oversee the hiring, training, and development of packaging employees. They will be responsible for setting standards and coordinating functions through clear communication with packaging staff, while working closely with Management to ensure all functions are completed. This role must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise Packaging employees and assist with planning, assigning, and directing workOversee scheduling for team members, and delegation of work throughout the dayComplete Employee Reviews based on company timelines and proceduresOversee daily packaging operationsAssist Management in planning packaging schedules to fulfill required packaging goalsMaintain clean, sanitary and safe packaging operationsCollaborates with Production Manager in development of SOPs, and implementation of processesMaintain and verify inventory of packaging suppliesComplete and submit all required reports with accuracy and efficiencyMaintain high-quality standards during shifts including constant Quality Assurance and Quality Control of all products being prepped and producedEvaluate performance of the operation and make improvements to procedure or work practices to elevate the quality of the packaged productsPerform and monitor all aspects of Quality Control and packagingMaintain accuracy; stickers / labels on straight, clear to read, uncompromisedEnsure platforms such as but not limited to CTLS, and internal documentation are accurate; numbers match for appropriate batches and stickers and labels are compliant with required information present and clear to readAbility to work well with others in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgencyEnsure proper storage of all facility consumables and products; storing food products in compliance with safety practicesEffectively communicate information and respond to questions / suggestions from various levels within the companyLead training and coaching Packaging Support employees on proper procedures, techniques and compliance protocolCommunicate quality or safety discrepancies to Supervisors, Managers and / or DirectorsCommunicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of productMakes recommendations to management regarding personnel evaluation and training of the Packaging Support teamAdditional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needsQualifications

Experience : At least 3 years of directly related experience and / or training in a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably food or beverage packaging; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust have experience working with a high sense of urgency preferably in a fast-paced work environmentMust have at least 1 year of supervisory or lead experienceMust have strong attention to detailMust possess the ability to perform basic tasks on computer programs such as google sheets and documentsEffectively communicate information and respond to questions / suggestions from various levels within the companyComputer Skills : Microsoft suite (core applications), Google, Slack, experience in Jira and / or other management platforms and software preferredLanguage Skills : Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and writtenMath Skills : Possess basic mathematical skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionTravel Requirements : Occasional travel required between buildings and sitesAbility to maintain and manage confidential informationProvincial regulations require all applicants must be 19 years of age or olderWorkSafe, ServSafe, Food Handler’s or FOODSAFE Level 1 card preferredWill be required to submit to a background checkMust obtain all applicable government-required permits, licenses, and certificationsBenefits
You\'ll receive a salary rate of $71,500 - $81,500 / yr. (CAD), 12 paid holidays, 160 hours vacation time, RRSP matching, and supplemental health, dental and vision insurance. Wyld is an equal opportunity employer.
