IT Project Manager - Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our client’s Media Division. In this role, you will lead multiple high-priority, complex, and long-term projects, driving the planning, management, implementation, and delivery of technical solutions that meet client needs. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, aligning projects with business strategies and providing leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring successful delivery of results and benefits.

Manage all stages of the project lifecycle, from initiation to completion.

Coordinate cross-divisional teamwork, ensuring high standards of work quality, health and safety, and organizational performance.

Lead and manage complex technical projects to meet business requirements, fostering a supportive and collaborative culture.

Engage with relevant stakeholders to define and manage project outcomes.

Establish effective oversight mechanisms, ensuring the right levels of support throughout the project.

Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring consensus among stakeholders and managing expectations.

Monitor project budgets regularly, ensuring financial control and alignment with business objectives.

Manage multiple high-complexity projects simultaneously.

Identify and document risks, issues, constraints, and dependencies associated with projects.

Capture and document current and future process workflows, obtaining business sign-offs where necessary.

Implement a robust change request process.

Maintain ongoing communication with key stakeholders, including the Project Sponsor and Business Project Owner.

Provide regular updates on project milestones, deliverables, and risks, in line with established reporting protocols.

Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and partners.

Lead planning for project implementation, ensuring smooth execution.

Skills, Education, and Experience :

Minimum of 7 years of project management experience in similar role.

Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is an asset.

Proven experience in business requirements gathering, project planning, and project implementation.

Hands-on experience with IT hardware, including POS upgrades, firewalls, and network switch upgrades.

Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a flexible approach to challenges.

Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Demonstrated expertise in managing large and complex projects from initiation to evaluation.

Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and maintain a strong customer service orientation.

Proven track record in conflict resolution and risk mitigation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.

Valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License and access to a vehicle for business purposes (mileage reimbursed).
