Job descriptionSecondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience 2 years to less than 3 years On site – Work must be completed at the physical location. No remote work. Noisy Scent free Odours Hot Confined spaces Willing to relocate Plastics manufacturing Operate machines or equipment or use hand tools to cut, shape, splice and fit plastic materials to form parts and assemblies Prepare reports on products inspected Assemble composite materials on patterns to form parts and assemblies Inspect manufactured plastic products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards Mark and re-route defective products for repair or recycle Make minor adjustments or repairs to products Visually inspect products for quality Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions Perform preventive maintenance Operate machines and equipment Monitor machine during operation Monitor machines to watch for jammed materials or defective products Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards Check final assembly for adherence to quality control standards Assemble prefabricated parts Conduct follow‑up assessments Follow emergency and safety procedures Document work completed Conduct quality control Prepare and track work orders Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die Clean work area Complete and maintain production reports Read and interpret work orders Review work orders Inspect final products Type of materials : Plastic Type of product : Power tools Computer and technology knowledge : Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines Welding techniques : Robotic equipment and systems Industrial processes and products experience : Quality assurance and control Equipment and machinery experience : Grinder, Trimmer, Saws, Sanders, Hand tools, Drills Area of specialization : Finishing, Assembly, Inspection Work conditions and physical capabilities : Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co‑ordination, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Fast‑paced environment Weight handling : Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Personal suitability : Excellent oral communication, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team player Dental plan Disability benefits Health care plan Night shift premium Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Free parking available Learning / training paid by employer Team building opportunities Parking available Wellness program Entry level Full‑time Management and Manufacturing Consumer Goods
