The Maintenance Technician-Millwright is a full-time salaried position that is essential to our operations. This Maintenance Technician-Millwright performs mechanical maintenance repair and troubleshooting on the manufacturing equipment and facilities using drawings, schematics and interpretation and knowledge of applicable codes and safety regulations. This position requires commitment to keep up to date with industry developments and have a methodical approach to work. The role : Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly.Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations.Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime.Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new partsDismantling older machines and replacing them with new onesOverseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical partsComfortable to use equipment such as milling machine, welder and Lathe.Working knowledge of mechanical technical skills to allow them to effectively read documents such as specifications, machine manuals, and blueprints.Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues.Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detailAbility to be a team player due to constant interactions with similar employees and stakeholders such as Engineers, Plant Managers, and Part Vendors, amongst others.Working experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, pumps, gear box, motors, servo motors, conveyorsHaving experience with packaging equipmentMay install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.The Perfect Fit : Medium-sized companies thrill you because you know your work makes a massive impact. You are enthusiastic about the food we eat, and you desperately want to play a role in the next wave of products that will make our snacking better.You offer : Must have a valid 433A Industrial Millwright Mechanic license.Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Industrial Millwright Mechanic.Mechanical skills and aptitude with direct experience in mechanical repairs and maintenanceMinimum 3 years of manufacturing / packaging experienceGood math skills, ability to take measurements and work with numbers.Able to work in small spaces and lift heavy equipment (25kg)Good hand-eye coordination and motion controlGood practical skills to use a range of hand and power tools.Ability to work unsupervised and / or as part of a team.
