Director of Information Technology
The Director of Information Technology reports to the Vice President of Finance and is an IT expert who is responsible for planning the information technology future for the organization, as well as for the implementation and maintenance of current systems. The Director of Technology is also responsible for the achievement of financial results, execution of company policies, procedures and programs; and exemplifying the company’s culture and values.
Responsibilities :
Leads development and implementation processes for the organizations’ IT systems and department.
Oversee all technology operations and functions and evaluate them according to established goals
Oversees regular system audits on hardware, software, infrastructure, systems, etc.
Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure by Identifying the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and reporting to upper management
Oversee the security strategy and implementation of the company’s systems to be protected and compliant.
Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
Manage and report on allocation of IT budget.
Run and share regular operating systems reports.
Run regular checks on data, networks, security, etc.
Develops and maintains long-term relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).
Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
Hire, develop, and retain a highly qualified IT department staff; motivate and mentor IT management and staff; lead by example through participation and involvement in and oversight of IT activities; plan, provide continuity, and lead succession planning efforts for all critical IT positions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3 – 5 years of progressive experience in IT field
In-depth knowledge of analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware / software), networks etc.
Time management and budget control
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Thrives in a fast-paced high energy environment
MSc / MA in computer science, engineering or similar relevant field
