This is a Full time Regional position serving the Cobequid Family of Schools, based in Truro.
Minimum Requirements
Province of Nova Scotia Truck (Bus) and Transport Mechanic Certificate or enrolled in an apprenticeship program; [applicants must include a copy of Certificate, if applicable]Minimum of Grade 12 High School Graduation Certificate or academic equivalent through educational programs such as a Graduated Equivalent DiplomaMinimum of three (3) years work experience in the trade (preference for commercial / industrial / educational settings)Must have training or be willing to receive training in applicable safety programsAble to perform duties with minimal supervisionValid Nova Scotia Driver´s License - Class 2 or higher, or willing to obtain such ClassAdditional Assets
Ability to perform duties effectively with minimum supervisionMust possess or be willing to obtain relevant health and safety courses in First Aid, WHMIS, etc. or other regulatory training coursesMust demonstrate competency in computer skillsMust be proficient and knowledgeable in diagnostic systemsAdditional Assets Qualifications
