Community Services and Supports, Regional Social Services (RSS) is seeking to fill two Regional Director positions. One for Winnipeg, MB, and one for Selkirk, MB. Please clearly state in your application your location preference.

Qualifications : ESSENTIALS :
Post-secondary degree in social sciencesExtensive knowledge and experience in social services that includes program delivery, program oversight, evaluation and financial managementProven ability as a leader with a commitment to create, support and sustain a diverse environment that enables staff to achieve results and to develop for the futureDemonstrated ability to leverage opportunities for innovation, find creative solutions to issues, and successfully manage changeManagement experience with responsibility for human and financial resourcesExperience translating strategic priorities into clear operational and business plans, and experience with strategic performance management and measurement systems (e.g. Key Performance Indicators)Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience managing internal and external stakeholder relationshipsPolitical acumen demonstrated through experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders on complex topics and sensitive issuesStrong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial management.Experience within a social services setting providing leadership and direction in the design and implementation of legislation, policies and programsExperience building relationships with community partners and external resources; including Indigenous people with a focus on implementation of the principles of reconciliationDuties : As a member of the department’s management team, the Regional Director is responsible to lead and manage RSS service regions and provide advice and support to the Executive Director and Assistant Deputy Minister by providing service delivery-related data and trends to support strategic planning and policy development.
The RSS service regions are collectively responsible for direct service delivery of the full range of programs offered by the Department of Families, including, but not limited to income support programs (Employment and Income Assistance), and disability services (Community Living disABILITY Services, Children’s disABILITY Services, Autism & Early Intervention Supports). Services delivered by each region may offer a slightly different mix of those programs.
