POSITION DESCRIPTION – GLOBAL APPLICATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reports to : Manager, Global Enterprise Infrastructure

Location : Vancouver (Hybrid)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Global Applications Administrator uses expertise to deliver, enable, and operationalize technology solutions, systems, and applications. They assess existing technology systems, propose system enhancements (including cost estimates), and collaborate closely with directors, managers, and staff. Additionally, they champion technology solution standards and ensure alignment with Eldorado Gold’s operational needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Global Applications Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :

  • Administer, configure, monitor and support the portfolio of global applications and related projects.
  • Provide technology recommendations for global applications to global functions by applying an understanding of Eldorado business processes and technology use in the industry to gain consensus for changing existing, or introducing new, technology services.
  • Assess the short, intermediate, and long-term application needs and provide recommendations in assisting in building and maintaining a multi-year technology implementation roadmap for the delivery of assigned technology solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management acts as an end-to-end service broker to business functions, shape ideas and influence demand, and manages the assigned applications.
  • Translate business requirements or challenges into applications solutions in collaboration with regional IT and business.
  • Support the Global Applications Roadmap and actively work with the business to maintain and refine a list of globally supported and approved software on a per-department basis.
  • Manage application support escalations and provide support to corporate service desk as required.
  • Maintain the global ITSM platform.
  • Report on overall health of global applications portfolio.
  • Support the planning and implementation of application roll outs.
  • Support the development of business cases that introduce new application solutions or significant enhancements.
  • Manage the global applications training program.
  • Work with the business to ensure proposed solutions and existing systems conform to regulatory compliance requirements impacting IT.
  • Champion improved busies productivity by promoting new modern workplace applications / initiatives, data management, easy to use reporting and analytics solutions that provide insight for action.
  • Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Compile and maintain inventory of company application assets and their corresponding contracts / agreements.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service level agreements, and ongoing support and maintenance.
  • Support the remediation of application vulnerabilities that make them vulnerable to breaches or attack ensuring they are appropriately prioritized for implementation in collaboration with other IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage the software / SAAS licensing for the global portfolio of applications.
  • Provide recommendations for true up / down activities required for multi-year enterprise agreements.

  • QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related business discipline.
  • A minimum of 5–8 years of experience in application administration or related IT roles is required
  • Familiar with Project Management and Business Analysis best practices.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills including effective communication at all levels of the organization and ability to develop and adapt communications based on audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally (across multiple levels in the organization) to identify and deliver strategic and tactical opportunities in the Corporate Services area.
  • Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives with the ability to interpret and apply within area.
  • Proven experience supporting projects and comfortable aligning business areas and prioritizing initiatives and developing business cases.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management processes including incident, problem, change, release, and availability management.
  • Ability to plan and schedule projects and work under deadlines.
  • Experience working with Global teams in a multi-disciplined / multi-functional team environment.
  • Proven skills in change management and ability to foster a positive work environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and people management skills.
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly. Must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and mentoring.
  • Experienced with core business applications and enterprise toolsets such as Power App, Power Automate, Power BI, Office 365, and SharePoint.
  • The salary range for this position is $88,000 to $121,000 . The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, taking into consideration internal equity. Qualified candidates with the required qualifications and relevant experience can expect an offer between the minimum and around the midpoint of the range. Progression toward the higher end of the range is based on higher qualifications and experience or demonstrated performance in the role.
