Automotive Service Technician

Kieswetter Mazda is looking to add to our growing service department. As southwest Ontario's largest Mazda dealer, our shop is always busy.

Qualifications :

• Registered 310S technician or 3rd / 4th year apprentice
• Must hold a valid Ontario Driver's License
• Detail oriented, and problem-solving skills
• Punctual and reliable
• Strong communication skills and computer literacy

Responsibilities :

• Complete repairs and services as per assigned repair orders, using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
• Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems using diagnostic tools
• Review work orders and discuss worth with service advisors
• Provide repair and servicing recommendations to service advisors and discuss parts availability with parts department
• Utilize computer to punch on and off jobs and document repair progress and diagnoses
• Stay up-to-date on factory training, recall notices, service actions and other manufacturer requirements

Wages and Hours :

• Flat rate hourly pay, negotiable based on experience
• Monday to Thursday, 8am - 5 : 30pm
• Friday, 8am - 4 : 30pm
• Half-day Saturday shifts during spring / fall tire season (4-8 per year)
