Reporting to the Project Centre Manager, responsibilities for the position include the following :

The Supply & Install Manager is responsible to manage the direction and delivery of the Supply & Install service, broadening the service offering, expanding the customer base and driving revenue growth. The Supply and Install Manager strives to achieve budgeted goals for project sales, margin and expenses; develops and executes sales growth strategies that supports the local Co-op’s vision. The Project (Supply and Install) Manager promotes and ensures high level customer satisfaction through a quality supply and install experience, while building trusted customer relationships through the process of timely delivering on the Co-op brand, service levels, and quality products. The Supply & Install Manager leads a team Building Consultants and Building Materials Clerks at both Greystone and Avenue C locations, and is responsible to recruit, train, develop, coach, and engage them while fostering a positive work environment that enables them to contribute to and achieve the Supply and Install department’s goals and objectives.

  • Department Operations : Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Supply & Install Department. Schedules, guides and directs activities of Supply & Install projects with a focus on quality customer experiences and high levels of customer satisfaction. Applies operational knowledge in key performance areas to support all stages within various projects to achieve department objectives.
  • Customer Service & Business Development : Develops trusted relationships with customers and contractors, making the customer experience and satisfaction a top priority throughout the entire Supply & Install experience. Reviews installation process of projects to ensure contractor materials are delivered and contractual obligations are met within agreed timelines. This includes visits to the sites to ensure this is a priority.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Management : Provides leadership to the department, including recruitment, training and development, goal setting, performance management, of team members. Leads and trains department team members on product knowledge, policies, and conducts team member performance reviews in a timely fashion. Leads weekly team meetings. Provide guidance to team members in the application of policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Asset Protection, Safety & Environmental Stewardship :   Responsible for coordination and supervision of safety, asset protection, and operational policies. Ensures a safe environment for employees and customers. Reports incidents, workplace accidents and near misses as required. Aids in investigations in asset protection or other related matters. Implements corrective action to prevent future safety events.

Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years of hardware or lumber and building materials experience, with preference given to those with industry-specific project management experience.
  • Gr. 12 or equivalent with preference given to those with post-secondary certification.
  • Class 5 Drivers license required with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • A combination of experience and education will be considered.
