Job Description

  • Perform sales activities in a designated territory to increase market share and drive top line sales performance.
  • Recommend sales forecast, discount targets and budgeted expenditures.
  • Monitor deviations and initiate corrective action to achieve sales and profit (C2) goals.
  • Develop new potential customer product testing programs to demonstrate superior product performance.
  • Implement operational company policies and strategies consistent with approved procedures to provide for the achievement of company objectives.
  • Develop sales territory to ensure optimum market performance.
  • Develop total cost optimization programs with accounts to maximize customer savings and Sika product offerings.
  • Develop highly visual position in product specifications.
  • Analyze competition and be prepared to defend our sales position .
  • Ensure comprehensive territorial coverage through efficient account management, including driving up to 4,000 km / month, zoning, accurate field testing with detailed reports, effective time management, and activity reporting.
  • Perform any other related tasks while respecting Sika Canada Inc.'s quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications

  • University or College degree in business or technical field of study or pertinent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales and marketing proven sales experience in construction products industry, preferably for a concrete manufacturer.
  • Proven sales territory development and growth.
  • Must be computer literate and willing to upgrade their skills on an ongoing basis.
  • Follow Sika Canada Inc.'s training on all procedures applicable to his position (SMS, environment, health and safety).
  • ACI Field Technician Certification Program Grade 1 is an asset. Must be computer literate and willing to upgrade his / her skills on an ongoing basis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and ability to prioritize emergencies.
  • Aptitude for team work. Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Personal motivation and leadership skills.
  • Able to travel frequently.
  • Able to lift product (up to 50 lbs) and carry up steps / ladder).
