The Traumatic Psychological Injury (TPI) Program at Lifemark Sunridge in Calgary is looking for skilled psychologists with experience working with trauma.
The TPI program is a return to work program, which provides psychosocial and physical therapy to injured clients, while promoting a client’s readiness for work. Clients are referred from WCB following traumatic workplace injuries (e.g., first responders, correctional staff, construction / trades, MVCs, assaults etc.). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality individual and group psychotherapy for the treatment of work injuries that include anxiety disorders, traumatic stress, mood disorders, somatoform conditions, as well as adjustment related disorders. The psychologist position requires you to be working closely within a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, physiotherapists and kinesiologists. This team environment also includes plenty of opportunities to collaborate with other psychologists. The psychologist will also collaborate with EMS and Police Reintegration teams in the community. In-person care is required; however, there are opportunities for creating a hybrid schedule with virtual care services. The successful candidate will also be able to take advantage of a generous financial allotment for training and continuing education.
