Job Description

Our client working within the energy sector is hiring for a Senior Manager of Engagement and Indigenous Relations to join their team on a full time, permanent basis! This is an exciting opportunity working in a hybrid model in Toronto or Mississauga.

The successful candidate will build and maintain relationships with municipalities, Indigenous communities, and local participants.

The manager will lead teams in Regional and Community Engagement and Indigenous Relations to implement engagement strategies and outreach plans.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies and policies to enhance the organization's relationships and reputation.
  • Oversee a team to ensure they meet corporate goals and initiatives.
  • Leading Community Engagement and Indigenous Relations strategies.
  • Creating municipal and community engagement plans.
  • Strengthen relationships with municipalities and Indigenous communities through meetings and presentations.
  • Manage staff, including hiring, development, training, performance management, and task administration.
  • Act as a representative for the Director when needed.

Requirements :

  • Experience in community and Indigenous engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships and corporate reputation.
  • Skills in business strategy, team management, budgeting, and staff development.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong political understanding and ability to navigate municipal processes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 10+ years in Stakeholder or Community Engagement or related fields.
