Truck Receiver Operator (FIXED TERM - 1 Year)

Duties :

• Aid truck drivers to unload raw peas in pea reception and complete SAP transaction
• Aid truck drivers to load pea cream, hull pellets and screenings and do SAP transactions
• Use computer for SAP and some HMI operations.
• Verify driver documentation
• Communicate with production, logistics and guardhouse teams to ensure smooth operation of trucks in different loadout tunnels
• Ensure excellent customer service to drivers (clients)
• Follow safety and GMP guidelines

Key Accountabilities

• Attend daily meetings and give updates.
• Talk to operators.
• Check pea silo levels and confirm with the supervisor.
• Check pea cream tank levels and plan for loading trailers.
• Check screenings and pellets silo levels and plan for loading.
• Inform the supervisor if silos or tanks are full and if a truck is needed.
• Use the radio to update the guardhouse about truck status.
• Help truck drivers with loading / unloading issues.
• Inform truck drivers and the guardhouse about any delays.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Coordinate with operators before the shift ends.
• Fill out and submit the daily report to the supervisor.
• Report any issues in the area.
• Take samples if needed.
• Report safety and quality issues to the supervisor.
• Create maintenance requests for equipment.
• Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Must have :

• This position requires standing and walking between different buildings and staying outside (including wintertime)
• Ability to learn some tasks to be done on the computer to execute loading operations
• Ability to climb stairwells on a daily basis
• Ability to use a radio to communicate with other teams
• Ability to move equipment (loading arms) and valves
