Senior School French Teacher

The Bishop Strachan School “BSS” has been a leader in girls’ education since 1867. Our teachers provide a rigorous curricular experience that embraces inquiry-based instructional strategies that align with ourattributes and our best teaching practices.
We are looking for a French Teacher who will teach Grade 9, 10 and 11 French. As a French Teacher at BSS you will create engaging, inquiry-based lesson plans and assessments that meet subject-specific goals and challenge students, while differentiating instruction to accommodate diverse needs. You will actively contribute to the school community by participating in co-curricular activities such as coaching, clubs, and trips, and support the overall well-being and growth of Senior School students.
Who You Are :
Must have an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate preferably in French
Intermediate / Senior teaching qualifications
A passion for aligning educational research with classroom practice
Strong proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Brightspace an asset
A growth mindset of continuous improvement and learning
Culturally competent with a positive attitude toward cultural uniqueness, as well as a readiness to accept and respect others
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment for your students, with families and your colleagues.

Annual Salary Range : $67,175 - $130,143 (depending on qualifications and years of experience)
