Temporary Full Time Educational Assistant

Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for the position of Temporary Full Time Educational Assistant based out of École Westlock Elementary School . This position will begin as soon as possible and ends March 3, 2026, with the potential for extension subject to school need and availability.

The Division provides education to approximately 3600 students in 16 community schools, including two Hutterite Colony Schools and two outreach schools. PHSD also provides education to over 10,000 students from within and beyond our borders through our online school, Vista Virtual School. The Position

The successful candidate must be a self-directed, team player who is interested in working primarily one-on-one with complex needs children, in the French Immersion Kindergarten class. Hours of work are Monday to Friday at 6.5 hours per day (32.5 hours per week), following the school calendar.

Qualifications

• Experience working with complex needs and behaviorally challenged students would be an asset
• Preference will be given to applicants with an understanding of childhood development
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults
• Able to work as a member of the school team
• Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
• SIVA Training would be an asset
• First aid would be an asset
• French language abilities would be an asset but not a requirement
