About the Role
The Machine Learning Education Advisor is a force multiplier for Amiis mission, driving technical excellence and rigor within the training team. This role strategically leverages deep expertise in applied AI, technical quality assurance, and people leadership to build and empower a high-performing team of ML Educators.
By rigorously validating content and standardizing technical best practices, the Machine Learning Education Advisor ensures that educational programs are cutting-edge, accurate, and impactful for learners across industry, post-secondary institutions, and the broader ecosystem. This work directly advances the AI literacy journey of our audience, enabling them to confidently and responsibly deploy ethical solutions aligned with the mission of AI for good and for all.
Reporting to the Product Owner, Training, the Machine Learning Education Advisor serves as a key leader within the Training Team, responsible for the technical and people-management functions essential to Amiis AI literacy mission. This role provides leadership through deep subject matter expertise, robust people management, and the oversight of technical resource allocation and project execution. The Machine Learning Education Advisor is ultimately accountable for guaranteeing the technical accuracy of all ML training content, ensuring the portfolio remains current, high-quality, and is delivered effectively. This position is vital for scaling the technical capability of the ML Educator team and ensuring the reliability of Amiis world-class training programs.

Required Skills / Expertise
Key Responsibilities :
Reviews and validates all incoming technical training requests to accurately define the necessary scope, technical resource requirements, and realistic delivery timelines in alignment with established best practices for content development.Establishes and leads an internal technical Community of Practice (CoP) for ML Educators to share knowledge, discuss complex technical challenges, and standardize best practices across all contentProvides regular, structured technical mentorship and coaching for the team of ML Educators, focusing on advanced ML concepts, instructional best practices, and technical teaching methodologiesIdentifies, recommend, and approve relevant technical training, certifications, and conferences to proactively ensure the teams skills drive cutting-edge thought and are aligned with Amiis strategic focusFosters a collaborative and inclusive environment within the ML Educator team, promoting knowledge sharing, peer learning, and continuous technical skill development.Determines and assigns ML Educators to projects based on their specific technical expertise, current workload, and professional development objectivesOversees and tracks project progress against defined milestones for content development (e.g., curriculum design, code sample creation, slide finalization), proactively identifies and mitigates technical or timeline risksManages the teams technical environment (e.g., cloud access, specialized software, ML tooling) to ensure educators have the necessary, reliable resources to develop and deliver content effectivelyEnables efficient communication, removes roadblocks, and ensures the team is set up for success in delivering high-quality technical content.Establishes, documents, and enforces rigorous technical standards for content development, covering code quality, theoretical model explanations, and data usage best practicesLiaises with teams across Amii to ensure that AI Literacy materials reflect the most current, relevant, and validated ML and AI methodologiesServes as the final technical review for all AI Literacy materials (e.g., advanced workshops, executive summaries, public talks) to ensure accuracy and integrityDesigns and implements quality assurance processes for integrating internal and external technical feedback, ensuring continuous improvement of the content catalogueProvides supervision to junior team members by overseeing and refining their work, and managing approval processes as requiredMentors direct reports on career development and progression, drawing lessons for coaching opportunitiesFosters a collaborative work environment by facilitating teamwork and the exchange of ideas among team membersRequired Qualifications :
Masters or Ph.D. in Machine Learning or related field3+ years of experience leading technical teams3+ years of experience managing industry projects3+ years applied AI experiencePost Secondary Degree in Education or related field (nice to have)Experience with developing and delivering curriculum; designing effective learning exercises, illustrations of technical concepts, training and evaluation tools (nice to have)PMP or PMI-ACP Certificate (nice to have)Attributes and Expectations :
