• Job Description :
• POSITION SUMMARY
• Responsible for repairing and maintaining facility, machinery, and mechanical and electrical equipment.

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Repair and maintain Boyd Niagara facility, machinery, and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatics, and / or production machines used in the production of heat transfer units
• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to sounds to identify trouble source
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
• Electronics knowledge / abilities preferred
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
• Repair or replace defective parts
• Install special functional and structural parts in devices
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Start devices to test performance
• Set up and operate lathe, grinder, welder and / or other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
• Initiate purchase order for parts and / or machines
• Repair electrical equipment
• Participate in maintenance and repair of facility
• Offer assistance and guidance to Maintenance Technicians
• Use all safety devices / tools to ensure safe operation
• Inspect and record quality requirements of finished workpieces
• Ensure work area is kept clean and organized at all time
• Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with Boyd Niagara policies and procedures
• Make recommendations to implement improved processes
• Provide feedback to management concerning possible problem or areas of improvement
• Perform other duties as assigned
• PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Experience with vacuum braze ovens preferred (not required)
• Ability and willingness to learn new process equipment.
• Mechanically inclined and possess strong degree of attention to detail
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw and apply valid conclusions.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including but not limited to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to read electrical schematics / blueprints
• Ability to write routine reports
• Basic mathematical skills required
• Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain PM logs and records preferred
• Ability to be cross-trained throughout manufacturing facility
• Ability to lift and / or move 25 - 50 pounds with or without accommodation
• QUALIFICATIONS
• High school or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or technical school diploma preferred
• Electrical Certifications preferred
• 5 years related experience required. 10 years of related experience preferred
• Due to federal contract obligations, must be a USA citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
