Role :
Under limited supervision, assembles, troubleshoots and maintains all mechanical / electrical equipment and systems. Performs general maintenance, renovations and repairs of machines, equipment and other company’s property. Works closely with production team and contractors on maintenance matters.
Schedule : Sunday to Wednesday 8 : 30pm - 7am
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Installs, maintains and repairs all mechanical and electrical systems and all machineries at the plant.
- Provide support to production in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
- Complies with all necessary manufacturing codes, regulations and standards i.e. GMP, HACCP, WHIMIS, MSDS etc.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration activities. Maintain an updated record of PM.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve maintenance operations
- Actively promote health and safety in the workplace.
- Completes Maintenance reports and logs as required
- Performs all tasks as per recommended job methods, procedures etc. as well as the preventive maintenance of plant production machines / equipment.
- Oversees installation, operation, maintenance and repairs of machines and equipment are ensure that they function according to specifications.
- Investigates equipment / machine failures and faulty operation and perform required repairs.
- Performs preventive maintenance to production and common areas.
- Performs and assists on other maintenance duties as required.
- Use power and hand tools and equipment in an efficient manner and maintain them in a clean operating condition.
- Complete work orders as assigned by Maintenance Manager and / or Senior Management / Chief Engineer.
Requirements :
Must have a BC Electrical Trade Ticket4th class Power Engineer Ticket (Preferred)Preferably with electrical / mechanical experience in a food manufacturing environment.Strong preventive and troubleshooting ability.Able to pass a fit test mask and TRST supplied by Company.Must be flexible to occasional change in hours to cover urgent needs.Applicants must hold a valid Canadian Work / Study Permit.

Please note that the expected new hire salary range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sunrise Farms. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
$50 - $50 an hour
