Job Summary

We are looking for a strategically minded, highly motivated Inventory Control Analyst who will be able to provide reliable and timely information and analysis to business leaders to guide them in the decision‑making process. This position focuses on financial accounting, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS) within the retail industry.

Main Responsibilities

• Work cross‑functionally with the Accounting, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Asset Protection teams to analyze and interpret inventory results and drive profitability;
• Prepare and record month‑end close journal entries related to cost of sales;
• Ensure accurate costing related to inventory valuation, including accounting for freight, duties, and other landed costs;
• Prepare and distribute monthly cost and inventory reports, including margin analysis and COGS;
• Investigate and explain variances between standard, actual, and forecasted costs;
• Continuously monitor results, provide insights into variances, and challenge business partners;
• Participate in process improvement to increase quality and reliability and reduce report preparation time;
• Prepare and present insights based on analysis, key metrics trends, and quantified risks and opportunities;
• Develop a deep understanding of major performance drivers and KPIs to support the business with regular reporting;
• Complete other ad hoc duties and analyses as assigned.
