Job description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced senior Functional Analyst to join our team dedicated to combating fraud in an agile environment.

Role and Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate as a specialist in the detailed analysis of solutions and define functional specifications in partnership with the Product Owner and the squad.
  • Advise and guide developers and the Product Owner by proposing functional alternatives aligned with the solution s architecture.
  • Participate in defining and steering various scopes (initiative epic sprint stories) using a "Minimum Viable Solution" (MVS) approach.
  • Develop functional testing strategies and support business partners in acceptance testing.
  • Define guide and ensure the execution of automated and / or manual testing for the scope from an endtoend perspective.
  • Produce and update the required documentation.
  • Take responsibility for the implementation and management of incidents / problems under their scope.
  • Monitor technologies and development practices.
  • Act as a mentor and facilitator for the development team in terms of technology and best practices.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Analyze business partners needs and identify appropriate technological solutions while respecting budgetary commitments and delivery timelines.
  • Design and document functional specifications and manage the entire solution acceptance cycle (testing).
  • Support development teams in delivering code with automated tests.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of the solutions functional components and resolve any issues.

    • Conditions :

    Hybrid position : 2 days in the office and 3 days remote in Montreal.

    Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role (senior / senior level).
  • Technical knowledge of databases ETL JAVA and APIs.
  • Experience in an agile environment.
  • Knowledge of the banking sector and fraud (an asset).
  • Good communicator in French.
  • Hybrid with 2 days onsite per week in downtown Montreal.

    • Required : 10+ years of experience as a functional analyst (senior / senior+ level). Technical knowledge of databases, ETL, JAVA, and APIs. Experience in an agile environment.
