What is the Opportunity?

RBC Wealth Management Canada is looking for a Business Application Specialist (BAS) to join the Training & Development department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing one‑on‑one and team training to RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel (PH&N IC) branch teams. In helping them perform at their best, you will be essential in delivering application‑based training, sharing best practices and consistently supporting them with the tools and resources needed to increase efficiency and identify opportunities.

Alongside a diverse, nation‑wide team, you will have the opportunity to build trust and rapport with branch teams across RBC Wealth Management Canada via training sessions, to help position Training & Development as a reliable partner to the field.

What will you do?

• Deliver personalized technology training and coaching in‑person and virtually to an assigned portfolio of branches for account administration, portfolio management, trading, client relationship management, wealth management, and business development.
• Conduct effective discovery to understand IC / Management team’s needs, challenges and workflows, and adoption gaps where technology can improve efficiency and client outcomes.
• Handle questions, objections, and challenges through effective problem‑solving and application expertise, reinforcing best practices and correct system usage.
• Proactively offer tailored training recommendations based on available training & adoption data and specific areas of branch focus aligned to branch priorities and business goals.
• Encourage adoption of new tools and processes, supporting the firm in realizing long‑term value and a strong return on technology investments.
• Deliver monthly thought‑leadership branch presentations both in‑person and virtually, showcasing applications processes and features to help IC teams realize key benefits for business success.

What’s in it for you?

The expected salary range for the above position is $67,000-$110,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary / variable incentive payment.
