Basic Function

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for our Canada Sales Team. Reporting to the District Sales Manager Central, The Sales Manager will be responsible for soliciting and gaining new lubricant sales while servicing existing accounts. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing business in a designated territory in Ontario (Greater Toronto Area and areas within Northern Ontario), which includes developing a sales funnel, managing the sales cycle, and driving growth through a solutions based sales model. This position will focus on various commercial and industrial industries within the defined geographic sales territory such as general manufacturing, fleet, mining and construction.

This position is not eligible for International Relocation Program benefits.

Job Duties

  • Identify potential new large customers and develop appropriate account plans to acquire the business
  • Service existing accounts with a high level of customer service
  • Grow the share of business with existing customers
  • Manage head office relationships to help grow their lubricants businesses
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics in order to generate, qualify, and close leads to deliver on growth targets.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers in order to both maintain and grow existing business
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in order to successfully roll out new business
  • Develop strong networks and expertise within the industry to gain knowledge, contacts and leads.
  • Ability to successfully operate in a technical industry and customer base
  • High level of customer service focus
  • Ability to operate within a CRM system such as SalesForce to ensure sales activity is managed and up to date.
  • Learn and operate within the parameters of the Account-based sales process
  • Special assignments, projects or tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of Business to Business (B2B) sales experience with a strong track record of delivering on growth targets.
  • Previous experience in formulating and executing key client account plans with a focus on a solution-selling methodology
  • Education Level

  • Post-secondary education required however, a combination of education and experience may be considered
  • PREFERRED EDUCATION :

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Required Skills

  • Exceptional sales and business development aptitude
  • Strong Interpersonal / non-authoritative leadership skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers at various levels, including field operations, area supervisors, maintenance personnel and senior management
  • Knowledge of selling through an Associate or Distributor network
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Results-focused
  • Previous experience in formulating and executing key client account plans with a focus on a solution-selling methodology
  • Ability to measure and document results in a sales environment
  • Comfortable and confident in writing and delivering presentations
  • Mechanical aptitude and / or interest
  • Computer literacy to ensure efficient communication and maintenance of accounts
  • Demonstrate proactive continuous improvement and initiative to build best in class processes with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams as well as working independently with minimal supervision
  • PREFERRED SKILLS :

  • Experience using SAP and customer relationship management (CRM) mobile sales
  • Supervisory / Managerial Responsibility

    Work Conditions

  • This position requires the incumbent to operate from his / her home office
  • This position will cover the Ontario region
  • A company car allowance program is provided
  • This position includes both base salary as well as annual bonus target
  • Travel will be required to manage and grow this sales territory
  • Relocation assistance will not be provided
