About the Role
As a Regional Sales Consultant for Asian Market Sales in Western Canada, you utilize strong knowledge of the Life and Health Insurance industry, Desjardins Insurance products and services, to build strong relationships in the Asian / Chinese community.
- Develop business relationships with key distribution partners and advisors based in western Canada as part of our business plan to penetrate the Asian market
- You will proactively promote life and living benefits product / sales across various distribution partners with a focus on Mandarin speaking advisors.
- You work closely with advisors and field partners to develop life insurance sales, are capable of effectively educating on sales concepts and to identify suitable client solutions, and have strong presentation and communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- Conduct proactive outbound sales calls, using a consultative sales approach, to identify needs, problems and / or opportunities to position Desjardins Insurance solutions as the number #1 choice and deliver strong telephone and / or sales presentations
- Provide training and onboarding to distribution partners, advisors and their support staff on products, services and solutions (webi setup, introduction to tools, etc.)
- You represent Desjardins Insurance at industry events.
- Work with various software applications and available resources to develop and grow sales
- Work within a team environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related fieldA minimum of three years of relevant experience in the life insurance industry or in wholesalingPlease note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be consideredHold an active LLQP licenseStrong communication skills in both Mandarin and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and / or clientsExpert knowledge of carriers, regulatory issues, and trends within the industryMust have a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicleSalary outlook : 66,318 - 84,587 dollars per year (region-specific scale)
