Power BI Analyst – 6 Months Contract
Shawflex, a leader in the Electrical Infrastructure industry, is looking for a Power BI Analyst to help modernize reporting across multiple departments. This hybrid, 6‑month fixed‑term contract will support the transition from Excel reports to scalable, automated Power BI dashboards.
Position Summary
As a Power BI Analyst, you will design and develop semantic models, dataflows, and dashboards using Power BI, DAX, and M language. You will integrate data sources, optimize performance, and ensure dashboards meet Shawflex’s branding and accessibility standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Power BI Development and Data Modeling – 35% – design semantic models, dataflows, and dashboards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Requirements Gathering – 20% – conduct stakeholder interviews, attend weekly meetings, and run user testing & acceptance sessions.
- Legacy Report Migration and Dataflow Design – 20% – work with business systems, data analysts, and IT to migrate legacy reports and design or improve dataflows.
- Documentation and Knowledge Transfer – 15% – document processes and deliver training to internal teams.
- Post‑Deployment Support – 10% – offer optional support after deployment.
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience in Power BI development and data modeling.Microsoft Certified : Power BI Data Analyst Associate.Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query / M language, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.Experience migrating Excel reports to Power BI dashboards.Experience integrating data from ERP systems (preferably IFS).Experience conducting user testing & acceptance sessions.Familiarity with semantic models, dataflows, and report automation.Strong expertise in semantic layer design and enterprise data architecture.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.Preferred : proficiency with Power BI Service, experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors, project management tools (Jira, Trello, MS Project), and agile methodologies.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Benefits & Compensation
