What You Will Lead
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board on governance, risk, strategy, and major transactions
- Own all corporate governance, public‑company compliance, and board advisory responsibilities
- Oversee SEC filings, disclosures, insider‑trading policies, and global regulatory requirements
- Build and scale a global compliance program across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead employment law matters, workplace investigations, and international employment issues
- Guide employee relations topics including terminations, restructurings, and workforce changes
- Review and approve HR policies, handbooks, and employment documentation
- Advise on data privacy and employee data protection (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Support DEI initiatives from a compliance and risk‑management perspective
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, technology licenses, and strategic partnerships
- Manage litigation, disputes, and regulatory inquiries with a focus on early, cost‑effective resolution
- Lead and mentor a small, high‑performing legal team grounded in accountability and operational excellence
What You Bring
- Experience of combined top‑tier law firm and in‑house experience
- Background supporting or leading legal functions within a public company
- Deep expertise in corporate governance, global compliance, SEC reporting, and employment law
- Strong command of employment law across discrimination, harassment, wage & hour, leave, and classification
- Ability to balance employee advocacy with business‑risk management
- Proven success navigating global legal issues across multiple jurisdictions
- Demonstrated ability to build efficient in‑house processes and reduce external counsel reliance
