Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will handle payroll operations effectively and ensure compliance with cross-border payroll practices. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to new systems, and contribute positively to team goals.

Responsibilities :

• Process payroll for employees, including cross-border payroll functions.
• Manage employee expense reports and ensure timely reimbursements.
• Utilize payroll software systems like Payworks, ADP and UKG to maintain accurate records.
• Assist with accounts payable (A / P) and accounts receivable (A / R) tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to support benefits administration and compensation processes.
• Ensure all payroll operations comply with applicable regulations and policies.
• Adapt to new systems and processes, contributing to implementation efforts.
• Provide support in general accounting tasks and offer assistance in other areas as required.
• Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude while working independently to meet deadlines.
• Occasionally visit the office to handle administrative tasks such as mail pickups.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, including cross-border payroll. (USD and CAD experience needed)
• Proficiency in payroll systems such as Payworks, ADP, or UKG Pro.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable (A / P) and accounts receivable (A / R) processes.
• Familiarity with benefits administration and compensation practices.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and contribute to implementation efforts.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines effectively.
• Experience with accounting software systems and general accounting practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented personality.
