What you can expect to do here :
Work alongside Project Manager(s)Oversee and manage the mechanical contract administration process on all types and sizes of projects;Liaise with project stakeholders (building owners, contractors, architects, engineers, facility management) on an ongoing basis;Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project status, site issues, project quality;Work with project team to resolve design and constructability issues;Review pre-tender design documents with Project Managers to identify potential risk and develop potential solutions;Assist Project Managers with shop drawing review;Attend construction site meetings;Perform periodic site reviews to review / assess project progress, general compliance with contract documents, quality assurance and identify deficiencies;Preparation of site review reports, monthly payment certificates and progress reports;Management, tracking and preparations of Contemplated Change Notice, Change Orders, Site Instructions, Cash Allowance Draws.Respond to Contractor's RFI's in a timely manner;Evaluate and recommend change request and quotations;Preparation of Engineering Certifications;Complete tasks in line with WSP's safety policies / procedures and legislative requirements;Mentor and teach design and technical staff on construction related issuesAbility to attend project construction sites, mostly in BCWhat you'll bring to WSP :
Over 3 years of related experience with a focus on construction of projectsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentSound technical and building mechanical systems knowledge, strong knowledge and understanding of codes and standards, and familiarity with British Columbia construction practicesProven communication skills with clients, contractors and authoritiesExcellent problem solving and negotiating skillsExcellent organizational skills with an ability to assess and prioritize jobsCredentials from a recognized construction administration program, experience in building construction industry, or other equivalent training will be an assetValid driver's license required. This position requires use of personal vehicle in good working order to be used occasionally for business use, for which there is reimbursement.Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations) : $82,900 to $114,000
