Optical Associate

Overview

FYidoctors - Georgetown - Sinclair Ave clinic is looking for an Optical Associate to join our team. This is a full-time role, typically 30-40 hours per week. The clinic is open Monday to Friday. If you have great retail customer service experience and are seeking your next role, we’d love to hear from you and welcome you as our newest Optical Associate to help make an impact on our patients’ lives every day.

You will play a critical role within FYidoctors and help deliver world-class service to our patients. You may be the first point of contact with the public, so bring your passion for people and your drive to deliver an exceptional customer experience. With your help, we’ll positively impact the health and well-being of our current patients and those we have not yet met.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Welcoming patients into the clinic, providing excellent customer service, and fostering a positive patient experience
• Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring value and quality
• Informing patients about advances in corrective eyewear and assisting with frame selection to suit aesthetics and performance needs
• Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometrist
• Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of eyewear; performing repairs and adjustments as needed
• Placing contact lens orders and assisting with fittings
• Communicating with patients in person, by phone and by email
• Billing the patient, their medical service provider and other third parties
• Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts, and billing and payments

FYihealth group aims to create a comprehensive rewards package to attract and retain top talent. The starting compensation for this position is $18.92 - $22.29 per hour, depending on experience, skills and qualifications. Base pay is one component of our Total Rewards offering.
