The Role : As a Trauma Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will provide specialized, high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute injuries or life-threatening conditions. Working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, you will utilize advanced clinical skills to stabilize and support patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional emergency care.
Responsibilities :
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients with traumatic injuries or critical conditions in the Emergency Room.
Administer medications, fluids, and advanced life support interventions as per established protocols.
Monitor patients' vital signs, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly to emergencies.
Assist physicians with trauma-related procedures, including wound care, airway management, and diagnostic imaging.
Provide emotional support to patients and families, ensuring clear communication about care plans and outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient progress in medical records.
Adhere to trauma-specific safety and infection control guidelines, maintaining a sterile and organized environment.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent.
Current, unrestricted RN license in your province of practice.
Minimum 2 years of trauma or emergency nursing experience, with recent hands-on practice in an ER setting.
Certification in ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS, and CTAS.
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in high-stakes situations.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, fostering collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment.
