JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the Senior Network Administrator is responsible for helping with the installation, maintenance, security, availability, monitoring, reporting and quality of services for the network (VoIP, LAN, WAN and Internet network environments) and servers (VM’s and physical), backups, databases, Active Directory, and critical business software programs. The Senior Network Administrator will be self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
This specific role will focus on networking and MDM.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Being the technical prime in most incidents affecting Network, Server and Business Application operations
- Working with the team as technical prime on the design, redesign and implementation of configurations, connectivity and maintenance of network and servers
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical support incidents and problems.
- Isolate, resolve and document operational and technical problems and performance bottlenecks
- Develop and maintain network and server management procedures including the documentation of procedures for daily operational support for the network, server and application Infrastructure
- Monitor, troubleshoot, identify and remedy areas of congestion and / or degraded quality
- Secure network and server systems by collaborating with the Cyber Security Department to establish and enforce policies, and define monitoring access
- Monitoring and management of server infrastructure for continuous uptime and SLA maintenance.
- Work on daily operational tickets including incidents and service requests.
- Provide escalation support for Help Desk tickets; identify, analyze, diagnose, research, resolve and log in a ticketing system all technical issues and requests.
- Responsible for mobile device and endpoint management tools, such as MS Intune or similar enterprise level solutions
- Continuously improve delivery, security, and quality of services
- Install approved security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure; perform regular security patching and fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain high-security standards.
- Report of risks, trends and service gaps to IT leadership
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
- Create and actively maintain network and collaboration technical configuration documents and topology maps
- Be proactive in identifying new network technologies and assessing its adoption
- Perform failure / root cause analysis during problem resolution process
- Deliver projects with the foresight necessary to predict and plan for future risks, identify all facets of project and ongoing maintenance solutions including hardware requirements, licensing, support services, labour requirements, and knowledge / training requirements for implementations
- Be self-sufficient with project implementations, with the ability to self-define critical tasks, schedule the necessary activities, and follow-through with the tasks required to complete projects

REQUIREMENTS

The wage band is level 10, $78,500 – $98,000 annually, depending on the knowledge and experience. Note : The salary range maximum signifies full job knowledge.
