Our client, a leader in the medical garment industry dedicated to making the highest quality products for health and wellbeing, is looking for a Territory Manager in the Saskatoon area. The successful candidate will strategically maintain and grow existing accounts and source new business opportunities, while providing an exceptional level of sales acumen and customer service. JOB DESCRIPTIONThe role of the Territory Manager is to build sustainable relationships with key customers which includes both retail outlets and medical professionals (prescribers and influencers). The Territory Manager will provide superior sales and consulting services for the brand and the category by regularly meeting with their client base in order to maintain, enhance and develop their business. Connecting the medical prescription to the company is a key success factor. The Territory Manager must have excellent communication skills in order to be able to consult with their clients, providing clear advice on how to better use the companies products or services to enhance their businesses.The Territory Manager is responsible for achieving yearly sales goals while maintaining expected performance standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE COMPETENCIESWork within a variety of sales outlets (pharmacies, DME stores, etc.) to further grow and enhance the sales of the companies branded medical products.Provide education and support to numerous stakeholders including fitters, pharmacists, and related personnel.Assist with consumer issues where required and be the “go to” person within the category.Detail, educate and train a broad mix of medical professionals including : vascular surgeons, general surgeons, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, phlebologists, medical Residents, nurses and other key influencers.Collaborate with colleagues under the direction of the Regional Manager to help manage / lead / present at conferences and educational seminars in order to raise awareness of the category and provide training.Other activities include, but are not limited to the following : Manage “Healthy Leg Days” including the measuring and fitting of products (requires bending / crouching)Work in the retail environment to ensure the product is merchandised appropriately (may require re-setting wall displays, hanging overhead signs, moving product in boxes, etc.)Continuously prospect for new business and increase the productivity of the territoryMeet and exceed Annual Performance StandardsManage expense budgets and reports on time and within budgetUtilize electronic sales reporting system and follow sales calls guidelines (monthly visits, in-service calls, cold calls, etc.).Collect market / competitive intelligence regularlyMaintain a professional image while representing the company and respect the values and norms of the organizationHave the ability to drive (sometimes for distances beyond 2 hours) and schedule appointments in an efficient manner to maximize time between appointmentsPerform other duties as assigned from time to time (sales meetings, medical events, etc.)EDUCATION AND / OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSUniversity / College degreeRelated Experience1-5 years’ experience as a sales professional / account manager with a proven track recordPrevious success in exceeding specific and targeted metricsTechnical / Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Energetic people person, relationship builder and strategic communicator capable of creating value, delivering personalized service and building customer / brand satisfaction and loyaltyStrategic sales skills to develop new business, identify / sell to customer needsSuperior negotiation skills utilizing listening & communication skills to close sales successfullyIn-depth product knowledge to be able to sell complete product line based on customer needsExcellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal, written & presentation skillsCustomer service-focused problem solver and listener who is able to understand, resolve and accurately relate to customer, medical practitioners and consumer needsAbove average level of organizational skills and ability to work independentlyOut of the box thinker who provides solutionsAbility to multitask in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while maintaining attention to detailsFlexible by nature with teamwork and reliability as core values and the ability to manage changeExcellent Computer skills, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPointStrong team player with demonstrated contributions to overall company successPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSIndividual must have a vehicle30-40% travel requiredAbility to put up a show booth- load and unload materials, some liftingMust be able to demonstrate the proper application of the companies productsJob Types : Full-time, PermanentFlexible language requirement : French not requiredSchedule : 8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation : Bachelor's Degree (required)Experience : Retail sales : 2 years (preferred)Language : English (required)Licence / Certification : Drivers License (required)Work Location : On the roadPlease send your resume to ab@forgeconsult.comForge Consulting is a growth-oriented organization determined to enable our people to realize their potential.
