Assistant Controller

Job Description

Insight Global is searching for an Assistant Controller to support a private company located in Michigan. This person is responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely consolidated financial statements for all business operations. Responsible for developing new processes and systems designed to manage all financial and fiscal aspects of the company. Ability to lead the development and implementation of the accounting department’s multi-year plan. Lastly, they will manage accounting department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements and project planning, Benefits and Paid time off will be contributed as part of the role.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• 7 years of previous experience in Accounting and Finance function\
• Proficient with manufacturing ERP systems such as EPICOR or NetSuite
• previous experience in managing a small team of AR and AP resources
• proficient with Month end bookkeeping and filing
