CNC (computer numerical control) machinist

Champ Machine is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will setup, program and operate CNC lathes and CNC milling machines to produce precision parts in accordance with required specifications. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming, the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, and a willingness to adhere to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, program, and set up CNC lathes and CNC milling machines using Fanuc or Haas controls.
• Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs to optimize machining processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings to produce accurate parts.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards.
• Set up machines with appropriate tooling for each job.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on CNC equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols.
• Assist with other manufacturing tasks, such as marking or packaging, as needed within the production environment.
• Operate forklifts when necessary for material handling.
