Job purpose
The Creative Director is the direct manager of the brand team and works closely with the marketing and product teams. The Creative Director is responsible for developing the brand's overarching visual identity and brand strategy, ensuring this vision is upheld at every touchpoint by overseeing all public-facing brand output. They have complete oversight of product direction and brand imagery.
Responsibilities
- Establish overarching brand strategy, clearly defining key values, pillars, messaging, positional target audience, market fit, and tone of voice.
- Develop and uphold visual identity that enforces brand strategy across all consumer touchpoints, including photography, product, graphic design, packaging, social media, e-commerce website, physical retail, email marketing, and more.
- Oversee product development and design, working directly with production teams to ensure strong e-commerce merchandising and category buildout.
- Define a clear photographic direction, working directly with internal producers to hire photographers, directors, editors, set designers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, models, etc.
- Work directly with photographers to make selects and ensure all visuals ladder up to brand narrative.
- Lead the conceptualization and execution of seasonal visual campaigns and editorials.
- Lead partnership direction and collection buildout for all collaborations.
- Conceptualize opportunities for installations and activations at our physical retail stores.
- Manage internal creative team by proposing new projects and overseeing creative workflow.
- Provide leadership, assisting with all hires and providing mentorship to your team.

DAILY :
Drive forward all visual projects (shoots, graphics, etc.)Provide feedback on all active design projects.WEEKLY :

Contribute new ideas for brand-level campaigns and visual projects.Meet for monthly design review meeting to give feedback on product samples.Bring brand team together for large-scale brainstorms and team-building exercises.BI-MONTHLY / QUARTERLY :
Provide seasonal design briefs to lead designer.ANNUALLY :
Assess creative and business goals and ensure Brand Bible is updated to reflect where the brand is heading in the coming year.Provide a 2-3 year view of where the business is heading on a longer scale.Qualifications
A strong portfolio of related work must be presented.8+ years in a similar field, either in-house at a relevant fashion label or at a relevant design or advertising agency.Strong conceptual, cross-platform thinking and creative ideation.Experience leading, inspiring, and growing a team.Deep understanding of graphic design systems (including typography, layout, and colour theory).Ability to competently communicate about photography and post-processing techniques.Strong presentation and pitch style, with focus on impactful decks and mood boards.Tapped into the pulse of contemporary popular culture, design, art, and fashion.Education
