Job Overview
The Dealer Finance Clerk with lending limits is responsible for providing prompt service to dealerships and acting on requests for credit in a timely manner.
Role
In the role, you will be responsible for the following :
Receive and process, review and adjudicate all applications from dealers through the loan system, referring any loans not approved by the system or within Letter Of Authority to Manager, DFC or Delegate for their review / approvalKey all loans into the banking system including but not limited to programming new accountsPerform all duties within guidelines outlined in your "Letter of Authority"Provide support to dealers by handling all incoming calls and inquiriesEnsure all loans are secure prior to being advancedDiligently complete daily tracking and follow up on pending dealsConduct file audits to ensure documentation is complete and correctConduct investigations and research as it is needed to support applicationsFile documents and complete all correspondence in a timely mannerComplete all DFC related monthly report entriesAccurately balance the general ledger dailyPromptly manage relationships with DealershipsCommunicate with Members if any fraud warnings ariseSupport team to ensure maximum efficiency in delivering Member serviceAdhere to policies and procedures at all times, as amended from to timeConsider health & safety as a primary concern to ensure the overall well-being of yourself and othersAssist with cross training and job shadowing in all areas within the departmentPerform other duties as we may need you to doRequired Skills and Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent1 year Credit Union / other Financial Institution or customer service experienceCompetent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Temenos Banking System and Criterion / Prolender or equivalent banking and lending platformsStrong understanding of credit lending and loan proofingMust have superior interpersonal and communication skillsInherently demonstrate a high level of integrity and trustworthinessMust be able to work well with minimum supervisionAbility to effectively problem solve to find creative and beneficial solutionsAbility to work in a high volume fast paced environment while being flexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesAbility to share knowledge and best practicesMust be capable of working as a team playerReceptive to feedback and coachingWork within established work hours to meet Member service demandsMust have a positive attitude and willing to go above and beyondBe able to take action in difficult and challenging situations and deal with uncertaintyDo the right things for the right reasonsAbility to identify and mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and proceduresInterested in this role, but don't meet every requirement?
